I eat mostly whole foods, so while I can see errors or rounding occurring with packaged foods, but kale is kale, right? I use Cronometer, and a quick google search showed people having similar issues with MFP, but no one really having a solution. To the tune of several hundred calories different in some cases. I was confused because when I multiplied the reported macros by the calories per gram for each group (4P/4C/9F) the calorie totals came out very different than the calorie totals reported by the app. Tracking: I have been plugging in my food religiously for a few weeks and went back today to look at, generally, where my macros fall when I eat intuitively. I did it twice to make sure, and both times I was given lower bulking macros than fat loss macros. ![]() The IIFYM website seemed like the most accurate, but I went through their macro quiz a few times, giving the same answers, but with different goals (out of curiosity to see where it would place my macros for weight loss, gain or recomp) it put my bulking macros SIGNIFICANTLY lower then my fat loss or recomp macros. Macros: I've used a few different calculators and gotten wildly different results. I'm at the point where I want to continue to gain weight and muscle, but in a more controlled way, so I need to start dialing in my diet. I was slightly underweight so I didn't really track anything, I just ate intuitively (and a lot) and have gained about 15lbs in the last 12weeks. I've messed around in the gym for a few years, but finally got really serious about lifting this fall. I have a few questions about figuring out macros and tracking them, and what tools are the most accurate.
